Butterfield Bank saw its share price drop 30 cents (3.26 percent) to $8.90, with 2,700 shares traded on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

BF&M Ltd. was the only other trader, transacting 500 shares, but its share price held firm at $17.10.

Overall, the Index declined 52.42 points (1.67 percent) to 3,089.76, as 3,200 shares worth $32,820 changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, closed up 10.65 points (1.4 percent) at 770.33.
