Butterfield Bank's common shares fell 10 cents, or 2.56 percent, to $3.80 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 104,200 shares during the day.

The only other trader was Bermuda Container Line Ltd., which saw 2,100 shares change hands, but its share price held firm at $13.95.

The Index, as a whole, dropped 17.47 points (0.83 percent) to 2,082.46, with 106,300 shares worth $421,735 shares transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index of the Island's leading international insurance companies rose 0.9 percent to 954.29 points.
