Butterfield Bank dropped 25 cents (2.17 percent) to close at $11.25 on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

It was the only activity on the Index, as the bank traded 2,120 shares.

Overall the Index closed down 43.68 points (1.22 percent) at 3,547.56, with 2,120 shares worth $23,853 changing hands.

The BSX Insurance Index finished up 9.95 points at 733.35.
