Butterfield Bank boosted its share price by 25 cents (1.69 percent) to close at $15 on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 2,300 shares throughout the day.

The only other traders were Kentucky Fried Chicken Bermuda Ltd. (1,500 shares) and Argus Group Holdings Ltd. (300), but both their share values held firm.

Overall the Index was up 43.68 points (0.96 percent) at 4,576.05, with a total of 4,100 shares worth $48,000 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index also finished up 2.16 percent on 961.49.
