Butterfield preference shares in demand

Butterfield Bank's preference shares proved to be the big traders in their first week on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX).
The bank's shares finished the week up $145.50, with 5,062 shares traded.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd. also boosted its share value by 40 cents (5.33 percent) to $7.90, as 8,700 shares changed hands.
West Hamilton Holdings Ltd. rose by 25 cents (2.56 percent) to $13.20, with 500 shares traded.
But Belco Holdings Ltd. fell 95 cents (5.81 percent) to $15.40, and Keytech Ltd. suffered an 85-cent (8.94 percent) loss.
Overall, the Index finished the week up by 34.31 points (1.47 percent) at 2,328.93, as 361,776 shares worth $1,299,486 were transacted.
