Insurers' busy day

Insurance proved to be the busiest sector on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

Argus Group Holdings Ltd. and BF&M Ltd. boosted their share prices by 20 cents (2.15 percent) and five cents (0.28 percent) respectively.

Argus closed the day at $9.50, with 5,100 shares trade, while BF&M ended on $17.50, as 490 shares changed hands.

But Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. fell $2 (18.18 percent) to $9, with 100 shares transacted.

The Index, as a whole, dropped 12.25 points (0.38 percent), with 5,690 shares worth $57,830 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index declined 4.82 points (0.63 percent) to 757.94.
