KeyTech/BNTB fall
KeyTech Ltd. and Butterfield Bank were the biggest movers on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.
KeyTech dropped 15.59 percent ($1.45) to $7.85, with 3,500 shares traded, while Butterfield Bank's common shares slipped 13.79 percent (40 cents) to $2.50, as 635,213 shares changed hands.
The bank also transacted 324 preference shares, but their share price held firm at $200.
Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd., meanwhile, was up 12.58 percent (95 cents) at $8.50, with 18,450 shares traded.
Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. fell four percent (50 cents) to $12, with 561 shares changing hands, while BF&M Ltd. was down 3.44 percent (50 cents) at $14, as 9,764 shares were transacted.
The Ascendant Group Ltd. also declined 0.66 percent (10 cents) to $14.90, with 9,118 shares traded.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd., however, moved up 4.32 percent (35 cents) to $8.45, with 3,009 shares changing hands.
The Index, as a whole, shed 135.21 points (7.66 percent) to close at 1,764.88 for the week, with 1,679,615 shares worth BD$3,541,710.05 and 2,959 shares worth US$421,083 transacted.
The BSX Insurance Index, meanwhile, rose 2.68 points (0.27 percent) at 987.61.
