KeyTech rises higher

KeyTech Ltd. proved to be the main performer on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) last week.The telecoms company rose 15.7 percent (95 cents) to $7, with 2,800 shares traded.Other traders included BF&M Ltd., which dropped 8.04 percent ($1.05) to $12, as 20,500 shares changed hands, and the Ascendant Group Ltd., down 7.14 percent ($1) at $13, with 50,000 shares transacted.

The telecoms company rose 15.7 percent (95 cents) to $7, with 2,800 shares traded.

Other traders included BF&M Ltd., which dropped 8.04 percent ($1.05) to $12, as 20,500 shares changed hands, and the Ascendant Group Ltd., down 7.14 percent ($1) at $13, with 50,000 shares transacted.

Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. and Butterfield Bank fell five percent (25 cents) to $4.75, with 1,200 shares traded, and 3.7 percent (five cents) to $1.30, as 38,583 shares changed hands, respectively.

The bank also transacted 53 preference shares.

Overall, the Index dipped 24.07 points (1.92 percent) to 1,249.39, with 113,083 shares worth BD$989,927.05 and 23,553 shares worth US$301,500 changing hands.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, was up 61 points (6.21 percent) to 921.
