KeyTech slides 15%

KeyTech Ltd. fell 15.78 percent ($1.50) in a tough day's trading on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The utilities company traded 4,000 shares to close the day at $8.

Butterfield Bank also continued its recent slide, dropping 40 cents (8.88 percent) to $4.10, as 9,100 shares changed hands.

BF&M Ltd., meanwhile, declined five cents (0.32 percent) to $15.45, with 2,000 shares transacted.

But Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. (BCB) and Belco Holdings Ltd. bucked the trend, finishing up 50 cents (6.89 percent) and 25 cents (1.66 percent) respectively.

BCB traded 2,000 shares as it closed on $7.75, while Belco transacted 3,025 shares to end the day on $15.25.

Overall, the Index slumped 99.94 points (4.66 percent) to finish on 2,042.73, with 20,125 shares worth $167,296.25 changing hands.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, climbed 1.33 points to 767.13.
