Pembroke Tile & Stone Co. Ltd. is set to celebrate 20 years in business later this month and will be marking the event with a discount for its customers throughout May.

The tile and stone retailer, which opened its doors as a small shop on May 23, 1989, has grown to become an established Bermudian business with extensive showroom and warehouse facilities in Serpentine Road.

As part of the celebrations, the company will be offering a 20 percent discount off all purchases to its clients for 20 days in May, from the start of the month until May 23.

"We are taking the anniversary as an opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has supported us through the years," said Bill Outerbridge, president and founder of Pembroke Tile & Stone. "We appreciate the support we have always received from the design and architectural communities, as well as our clients, many of whom are repeat customers."

Mr. Outerbridge credited his staff for the company's success over the years. "We got here collectively," he said. "We always strive to attract good people and keep them happy. As a result, we have a great sales team and warehouse staff supported by an outstanding administrative team. We are all committed to offering outstanding customer service." The company currently employs 20 people, all Bermudians or long-term residents married to Bermudians.

Pembroke Tile & Stone will hold a birthday celebration party at its showroom on Saturday, with a number of prizes and giveaways on offer.
