Perry seeks to bring Manhattan to Bermuda with new shoe store
Women will have more choice from the latest footwear fashions after Perry Footwear launched a new store in the centre of town.
Perry Collection, which was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Premier Paula Cox and is based in the former David Winston site on the corner of Reid and Queen Street, will stock everything from $69 shoes to the high end $1,500 or $1,600 footwear — all of which are designer name brands.
The shoe store will be run by Tiffany Perry, who opened Perry Footwear in Reid Street three years ago to popular acclaim. And following its big success, she decided to launch the new shop, moving all of the women's lines down the street to the new location and keeping the men's selection at the original premises.
Ms Perry has also done her bit for the local economy — taking on new staff to run the store and she is still looking to recruit some more.
"It is definitely a store that Bermuda has never seen before," she said.
"It is like Park Avenue in Manhattan, with an excellent range of footwear to cater for all tastes.
"We have built up a loyal clientele of shoe addicts who come in on a weekly basis and hopefully they will follow us to our new store."
The new store will be open from Monday to Saturday between 9.30am and 5.30pm.
