OSLO (Bloomberg) - Seadrill Ltd., the Norwegian oil-rig company set up by billionaire John Fredriksen, said it would not extend its offer for Scorpion Offshore Ltd.

Seadrill, whose mandatory offer for outstanding Scorpion shares expired yesterday, will not extend the acceptance period, leaving it in control of 36.02 percent of in Scorpion, the Bermuda-based company said in a statement distributed by Hugin yesterday.
