Seadrill's offer for Scorpion shares accepted

Bermuda-based Seadrill Ltd.'s mandatory offer to buy the outstanding shares in Scorpion Offshore Ltd. has been accepted.
The oil-rig operator, whose offer of NOK 40.50 per share that expired on Friday, received acceptances for 43,760,355 shares equalling approximately 48.7 percent of the total number of outstanding shares and votes in Scorpion.
Following completion of the offer period, Seadrill now controls 88,771,206 shares, which represent approximately 98.8 percent of the outstanding shares and votes in Scorpion. The settlement for shares tendered is due to take place tomorrow.
