Stocks fall all round
Stocks fell across the board on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday, with no fewer than four companies see their share price drop.
The hardest hit sector proved to be utilities, with Belco Holdings Ltd. and KeyTech Ltd. losing 70 cents (3.45 percent) and five cents (0.39 percent) respectively off their share values.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd. declined 50 cents (3.44 percent), while Butterfield Bank dropped 10 cents (0.68 percent) during the day.
The only other traders were Watlington waterworks Ltd. (1,100 shares) and Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. (1,000), but their share prices held firm.
Overall, the Index dipped 50.5 points (1.13 percent) to close at 4,410.99, with 15,028 shares worth $218,680.20 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index, however, was up 2.48 percent (0.25 percent) at 990.65 points.
