The Hat Lady opens new East End store
Hats are set to come back in fashion in St. George's in a big way if Denise Trew gets her way.
The entrepreneur, who also owns All About Eve Boutique, again, in St. George's, and Eve's Cycle Livery in Paget, officially launched The Hat Lady store at the old Armoury Building, 1 Water Street, at the start of this month.
The shop stocks a wide variety of hats from the smart for the discerning wearer to the fun for the more adventurous. They come in an array of different colours in straws, feathers and silks, with a number of ornate versions trimmed with rhinestones or feathers.
"We do a large array of beautiful ladies' hats," said Ms Trew. "We just opened two weeks ago and we have been well received."
The building itself, which has an impressive history dating back to the 17th century, was restored by the Trew family in the 1970s and features on one of Bermuda's official commemorative stamps.
Ms Trew has also opened a new branch of Eve's Cycle Livery in Boaz Island, Sandys.
