Utilities' busy day

Utilities was the busiest sector on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday, with no fewer than two companies seeing their share prices decline.

The Ascendant Group Ltd. fell 1.07 percent (15 cents) to $13.80, with 1,200 shares traded, while KeyTech Ltd. dropped 0.7 percent (five cents) to $7 as 14,100 shares changed hands.

BF&M Ltd., however, rose four percent (50 cents) to $13, with 3,000 shares transacted.

Argus Group Holdings Ltd. and Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. also traded 2,800 and 600 shares respectively, but their share values remained unchanged.

The Index, as a whole, inched up 1.54 points (0.12 percent) to 1,242.99, as 21,700 shares worth $177,090 were transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index fell four points (0.41 percent) to 960.
