Utilities fall on BSX
Utilities proved to be the busiest sector on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
KeyTech Ltd. saw its share price drop 50 cents (five percent) to $10, with 2,009 shares traded, while Belco Holdings Ltd. also declined 20 cents (1.23 percent) to $16, as 1,100 shares changed hands.
BF&M Ltd. also experienced a fall in share value, this time by 35 cents (2.18 percent) to $15.65, with 430 shares transacted.
Meanwhile Butterfield Bank and LOM (Holdings) Ltd. traded 113,750 and 7,500 shares respectively, but their share prices remained unchanged.
Overall, the Index fell 21.74 points (0.91 percent) to 2,382.59, as 124,789 shares worth $688,353 were traded.
The BSX Insurance Index, however, closed up 7.16 points (one percent) at 721.97.
