Utilities kept busy

Utilities was the busiest sector on The Bermuda Stock EXchange (BSX) yesterday.Watlington Waterworks Ltd. rose 3.33 percent (40 cents) to $12.40, with 1,100 shares traded, while The Ascendant Group Ltd. was up 2.94 percent (40 cents) at $14 as 400 shares changed hands.BF&M Ltd. also climbed 2.78 percent (35 cents) to $12.90, with 1,500 shares transacted. Argus Group Holdings Ltd. similarly traded 1,500 shares, but its share value held firm at $6.50.

Meanwhile Butterfield Bank saw 600 shares change hands, but its share price remained unchanged at $1.50.
The Index, as a whole, advanced 6.3 points (0.5 percent) to 1,278.27, with 5,100 shares worth $49,240 transacted.
The BSX Insurance Index was also up seven points (0.75 percent) at 937.
