Watlington declines

Watlington Waterworks Ltd. saw its share price plummet by 24.64 percent ($3.45) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The utilities company's share value dipped to $10.55, with 3,000 shares traded.

Devonshire Industries Ltd. also fell by 95 cents (6.8 1percent) to $13, as 200 shares changed hands.

But Butterfield Bank's common shares bucked that trend, rising by 15 cents (3.12 percent) to $4.95, with 4,500 shares transacted.

The only other trader was the bank's preference shares, 120 of which changed hands, but its share price held firm at $225.

Overall, the Index advanced 19.01 points (0.84 percent) to 2,273,41, as 7,700 shares worth BD$56,375 were traded, while 120 US shares worth $145,800 were transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index was also up 6.97 points (0.77 percent) at 906.97.
