Watlington rises

Watlington Waterworks Ltd. was the biggest mover on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) last week.The utilities company climbed 9.5 percent (95 cents) to $11, with 2,000 shares traded.Utilities, as a whole, was busy, as KeyTech Ltd. also advanced 1.4 percent (10 cents) to $7.10, with 74,500 shares changing hands.

Watlington Waterworks Ltd. was the biggest mover on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) last week.

The utilities company climbed 9.5 percent (95 cents) to $11, with 2,000 shares traded.

Utilities, as a whole, was busy, as KeyTech Ltd. also advanced 1.4 percent (10 cents) to $7.10, with 74,500 shares changing hands.

The Ascendant Group Ltd., however, fell 1.7 percent (25 cents) to $14.50, as 6,261 shares were transacted.

Elsewhere, BF&M Ltd. increased 1.9 percent (25 cents) to $13.50, with 2,000 shares traded, while Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. dropped 0.2 percent (two cents) to $9.98, as 2,500 shares were transacted.

Butterfield Bank, meanwhile, saw 61,393 shares change hands, but its share price held firm at $1.50.

Overall the Index was up 1.77 points (0.13 percent) at 1,276.84, as 148,754 shares worth BD$781,472.85 and 17,607 shares worth US$179,042.45 were traded.

The BSX Insurance Index was also on the rise, by six points (0.6 percent) at 993.
