PricewaterhouseCoopers yesterday announced the admission of Arthur Wightman to the partnership effective July 1, 2009.

The Briton has more than 11 years of professional services experience with PwC.

Initially in London, he joined the Bermuda firm in 2003. He is a member of the firm's Insurance and Reinsurance Group and has extensive experience in providing audit and advisory services to insurance and reinsurance clients in the Bermuda, London (including Lloyd's), US and European markets.

His career in Bermuda has been focused on significant Bermuda-based global SEC registrant audits and advisory projects. As well as his public company audit experience, he is also the firm's leading Finance Effectiveness specialist and has led a variety of global projects specifically directed at the challenges of achieving control, efficiency and performance improvement objectives while supporting the business through insight and challenge.

Mr. Wightman is also an active member of the local community, sitting on the Congregational Board of Christ Church, Warwick (Church of Scotland) and a Committee Member of the Caledonian Society of Bermuda.

Mr. Wightman is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda.

Mr. Wightman's appointment is subject to approval from The Department of Immigration.
