Wilson's work appears in great logos book
Bermudian entrepreneur Lois Wilson's commissioned logo water.bm has been selected and appears in the US book Logolicious - the Mini book of Great Logos 2010 by Alexander Isley, released this month.
The logo was developed in conjunction with her web/graphic designer to develop an e-commerce website for ordering tank water on the Island.
The Mini Book of Logos includes the latest innovations in logo design, providing inspiration for graphic designers in the critical 'idea-generating'' phase. The unique collection of logos showcases effective designs from around the world in a user-friendly, easy to navigate handbook. It is 11th in the 100 Top Collecting Best Sellers on tower.com and is available from Barnes and Noble.
"I love beauty in design, marketing and especially web," said Ms Wilson. "I felt that the clean lines and colours represented Bermuda beautifully and puts Bermuda on the world stage of design and aesthetics.
"The .bm domain automatically denotes Bermuda to people studying the book. I am so inspired by some of the great designers of today especially Jonathan Ive, the British designer behind Apple's magic, and strive to produce work of the same calibre of excellence."
Logolicious features more than 1,000 inspirational examples of modern logo work featuring the movers and shakers of today's design culture.
Ms Wilson, who recently launched the Money Shop which offers Moneygram in Dundonald St., also develops websites and e-commerce opportunities for businesses in Bermuda.
