Appleby hires Tod
Appleby has announced the hire of an additional experienced Bermudian lawyer to the Bermuda private client and trusts team.Sophie Tod joins the Bermuda-based law firm as a senior associate. Ms Tod has approximately 10 years of experience and has worked for law firms in Geneva, the UK and Bermuda.She was also formerly legal counsel for the Bermuda Monetary Authority, advising on the regulation of the trust, insurance and investment industries and assisted in the drafting of associated Bermuda legislation. Ms Tod is a member of STEP and has served on the executive committee in Bermuda.She specialises in providing non-contentious trust services to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private banks, charities and trust companies.
