Duperreault named chairman of St John’s University SRM
Bermudian Brian Duperreault has been named chairman of the St John’s University School of Risk Management (SRM).Mr Duperreault, who is president and CEO of global insurance broker Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc, will succeed Brandon Sweitzer, who will become Dean of the school, on July 1.The former Ace Ltd chairman and CEO is a long-time board member of the New York school.“Brian Duperreault has been a dedicated member of the SRM Board of Overseers for nearly 15 years,” said Rev Donald Harrington, SRM’s president.“”Brian is superbly qualified to lead the board during this time of great momentum and opportunity. We are truly fortunate to have someone of his stature to provide strong and steady leadership as the next chairman of SRM’s board.”The SRM, which is located in Manhattan’s financial district, has seen an increase in its student body of nearly 50 percent over the past five years and has an endowment that now exceeds $30 million.
