Logic launches new cloud-based data storage service

Logic Communications has announced the launch of a new cloud-connected data storage and protection solution providing integrated back-up and disaster recovery.LogicVault Remote Disaster Recovery Service, which is powered by EVault, has been designed to support multi-platform and multi-site IT environments to ensure secure redundancy of critical systems. The new service will enable business continuity in the event of a complete system outage, allowing users to access it from any location in a secure virtual environment within 24 or 48 hours, depending on the level of service.Service is a key part of the new offering which supports multi-platform environments that include Windows, IBM, Linux and VMware and leverages state-of-the-art data centre facilities to provide quick and secure access to production systems after a disaster with a team of disaster recovery experts is on hand to guide the user through the entire recovery process from set-up and testing to execution of data recovery processes at the critical time.Critical data will be hosted and protected in Logic’s top-tier, SAS 70 Type II-certified data centres, which feature a virtualisation platform that provides leading redundancy and performance, high availability, and superior storage efficiency to dramatically reduce the cost of disaster recovery.Meanwhile the company promises “end-to-end encryption” that it says ensures that data remain private, meeting the organisation’s specific regulatory compliance requirements and due to being cloud-based there are no upfront capital expenditures and the service eliminates the expense, and the complexity, of maintaining a disaster recovery site.
