St George’s Club offers discounts to locals

St George's Club: The resort is making discounted offers to locals

Local residents are being invited to buy discounted memberships in the St George’s Club vacation ownership resort.Club senior sales executive Brian Kunz said the resort already had “many” local members.“For a limited time we are offering all of our local residents up to 50 percent off all of our membership prices,” he said. “Buy one get one free. Buy a prime week of accommodations, and receive an additional week in our golf season at no additional cost.”He added local residents have “seen the opportunity that the St George’s Club affords everyone in the event they have friends visiting for an extended stay or if they have to leave the Island and wish to retain a connection and base in Bermuda to return every year”.Weeks can also be exchanged for vacations in over 5,000 other RCI resorts around the world.Mr Kunz said membership prices are based on the size of the cottage, the time of the year, and the location. One bedroom cottages for off season start at $2,000 which is a 50-percent discount for all local residents who purchase a membership. In addition the yearly maintenance fees range from $1,106 to $2,214.The St George’s Club has three pools, including one that’s heated, floodlit tennis courts, two restaurants and a beach club at Achilles Bay.Club facilities are open to local members each and every day of the year. The Reefs Club resort in Southampton also recently began marketing its luxury fractional condos to locals.Starting at about $180,000, the Reefs said in January it was offering shared ownership with unlimited stays (based on availability) in its two-bedroom oceanfront condos.
