Three Bermuda hotels have made Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 20 Foreign Golf Resorts list.The 2012 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Poll lists the Top 121 properties that promise “gorgeous golf for all skill levels coupled with unrivalled lodgings, food and service”.The popular travel magazine breaks the ranking down, listing the top international resorts as well as the top resorts in Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii and the Northern, Western and Southern regions of the US.Ranked on the Top 20 Foreign Golf Resorts list are The Reefs, which came in at number three, Rosewood Tucker’s Point which ranked seventh, and the Fairmont Southampton which was 17th on the list.The biggest surprise is that The Reefs made the list despite not having a golf course of its own. The resort does, however, offer its Reefs Club owners special annual memberships to nearby Port Royal Golf Course.“We’re honoured to be included in such a prestigious list and rated highly for our all oceanview accommodations, fine dining in three restaurants and attentive personal service,” said Nagma Walker, General Manager at The Reefs. “This honour also recognises the world-class golf in Bermuda. While we do not have golf on-site, many of our guests visit the nearby courses and speak highly of their golf experiences.”The Condé Nast Traveler 2012 Golf Poll results were derived from the magazine’s Readers’ Choice survey which had 28,876 respondents.
