Online banking problems for Butterfield customers

Some Butterfield Bank customers trying to get back to business this morning weren’t able to do anything through the company’s online banking system.The Royal Gazette received several reports of customers being unable to access their accounts online throughout the morning and into the afternoon.A spokesman for the bank said they are aware that many of their customers are unable to log on and say they had fixed the problem by lunchtime.“Some users are experiencing system latency issues with Butterfield Online,” a Butterfield spokesperson said. “The Bank is aware of the problem and is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.”
