Senior leaders lined up for financial conference

Senior leaders from the US Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta, Dallas and Philadelphia plus Fannie Mae; Moody's and more are to speak in Bermuda at a financial conference next month.

Called ‘The Evolving Market Landscape', with a special feature on America's cities, the conference takes place at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel in Hamilton on October 10.

It is hosted by the Global Interdependence Center and the CFA Society of Bermuda and sponsored by Allianz Global Investors, Anchor Investment Management and Butterfield Asset Management.

The conference will examine central banking and the economics of urban affairs, as speakers from policy, industry and academia offer their perspectives on the economy, and monetary policy.

The following leaders and policymakers will be speaking:

Michael Bryan, vice president and senior economist of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta;

Harvey Rosenblum, executive vice president and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas;

Herb Taylor, vice president and corporate secretary of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia;

Dennis Archer, former mayor of the City of Detroit,

Tom Donlan, editorial page editor of Barron's;

Doug Duncan, chief economist of Fannie Mae;

William Dunkelberg, chairman of Liberty Bell Bank;

Patrick Gannon, president and executive director of Smart Grid Interoprability Panel;

Peter Gold, founder of TheGoldGroup;

Edward Keon, Jr, managing director and portfolio manager of Quantitative Management Associates;

David Kotok, CIO of Cumberland Advisors and GIC vice chair of the central banking series;

Nathan Kowalski, president of the CFA Society Bermuda and chief financial officer of Anchor Investment Management Ltd.;

Robert Kurtter, managing director of public finance at Moody's Investors Service;

Vincent Lowry, founder and chairman of VTL Associates LLC;

Catherine Mann, Barbara and Richard M Rosenberg Professor of Global Finance at Brandeis University;

Paul McCulley, chair of the Global Society of Fellows, former senior partner of PIMCO;

John Mousseau, executive vice president and director of fixed income at Cumberland Advisors;

Donald Rissmiller, chief economist of Strategas Research Partners;

Stephen Sexauer, CIO of Allianz Global Investors Solutions;

Kathleen Stephansen, managing director, senior investment strategist and global head of sovereign research at AIG Asset Management and GIC board member; and

George Tsetsekos, dean emeritus of Drexel's LeBow College of Business and GIC board chair.
