An Island cellphone firm is to push pink Apple iPhones in hot pink to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And the firm is to donate $10 from every iPhone in the Apple range sold this month to promote breast cancer awareness. The pink iPhone 5C from CellOne is joined by three other phones to tone in with traditional Bermuda colours — in blue, yellow and green.CellOne’s Joel Ferrier said: “The pink iPhone is what prompted this — it got me thinking we really should be doing more and this is a way of giving back.”Deborah Titterton, marketing and fundraising manager at Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, said: “We are proud that many companies have stepped forward this year to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Bermuda.“Having CellOne use a high profile product such as the iPhone and tying it into raising funds to support early detection for breast cancer will certainly help raise awareness.”She added: “All funds raised will support our charitable outreach initiatives which include our Equal Access Fund, our Education and Awareness programmes and the Bermuda Cancer and Health scholarship.”Mr Ferrier said: “This is a solid device with a little more flair, something new for Apple iPhones.“The option to have a reasonably-priced iPhone loaded with features comparable to previous higher end versions is perfect for anyone wanting to get into the iPhone arena.”The iPhone 5C, the latest addition to Apple’s 5 series, offers an 8MP iSight camera, preloaded i0S 7 and ultrafast connection speeds.
