Seminar offers advice on immigration to America
A seminar on immigration to the United States will be held on Monday, November 4 at the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce from noon to 2pm.
The seminar will feature Steve Trow, an immigration attorney from Washington, DC.
Topics will include: Accidental American Citizens acquiring American citizenship at birth from an American parent or grandparents; Family-based Immigration green cards sponsored by an American citizen or permanent resident spouse, parent, child, or sibling; Employment-based Immigration green cards and temporary work visas sponsored by employers, or self-sponsored Immigration through Investment the E-2 treaty investor visa and EB-5 immigrant investor programme; Retaining a Green Card while residing outside the US.
It will also feature tax specialist James Paul Sabo, president of Expatriate Tax Services LLC (Bermuda). He will speak on the topic: When do you become subject to US income tax on global income?; pre-Immigration tax planning; and special tax rules.
The seminar is free to members and $10 for others.
