Pereira and Lavery join Horseshoe Group

Anna Pereira and Mark Lavery have taken up senior vice-president appointments at Horseshoe Group.

Ms Pereira is head of treasury, while Mr Lavery is head of marketing and communications. Both are Bermudian and will be based out of Horseshoe's Bermuda office.

Ms Pereira has more than 20 years' experience working in the insurance, reinsurance, alternative risk transfer and capital markets in Bermuda. Previously, she was head of captive and insurance banking with HSBC Bank Bermuda Ltd. She has also held underwriting positions with Chubb Financial Solutions and Everest Re Bermuda. She takes over responsibility for managing the group's global banking and trustee relationships from Philip Jones, who will be retiring from full-time responsibilities this month, but remaining on as a consultant.

Mr Lavery has more than ten years' financial services marketing and communications experience within the Bermuda and international markets, most recently as senior manager, markets at KPMG in Bermuda. He is charged with leading and supporting Horseshoe's global marketing, communications, knowledge management and business development efforts.

Horseshoe Group is an independent financial services provider. Andre Perez, chief executive officer, said: “We are extremely excited to have Anna and Mark join our team.
