Good Friday is set to become good Fridays for anyone who loves Latin dance.

The BermudaSalsa.com Group in conjunction with the Bermuda Department of Tourism (BDoT) will be hosting the first Friday night SalsaMania event in the Veranda Bar, in Elbow Beach Hotel.

The Group already has two other nights where people can enjoy the Latin scene. The weekly SalsaMania events take place at Splash night club on Thursday nights and at the Champions Sports Bar on Saturday nights.

BermudaSalsa.com Group director Travis Gilbert said that they have been working for five years to create an on-Island Latin entertainment platform.

"We have launched the most exciting and comprehensive calendar of events to date," he said.

"The 2007 — 2008 events calendar will include activities, which have been sponsored by the Bermuda Department of Tourism (BDOT), as well as the Group's very popular Mambo Nights Showcase series scheduled for March, August and November at the Fairmont Southampton Resort.

"One of the key objectives for the Group is to work with the BDOT to produce Latin themed entertainment options for the Island's visitors this summer. The Group has been successful with the promotion of these weekly activities which will continue indefinitely."

For those who are unfamiliar with Latin Dance, Salsa, Tango and other weekly Latin dance classes take place at the Sabor Dance School, which is located at the Bermuda College, in Paget.
