Promise to partygoers: You'll be tickled Pink
Unite presents the third annual Pink Party tomorrow night complete with a DJ from New York City, a brand new scooter up for grabs and a lingerie fashion show.
Organiser Belcario Thomas said the main difference from first two parties, is that this one is dedicated to his mother, Clara L.L. Thomas, who passed away in late February. Her favourite colour and nickname from his father, Fred Thomas, was pink.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to the TB Cancer Association of Bermuda in honour of Mrs. Thomas.
Mr. Thomas predicts this party will be a huge success and partygoers will have a great time.
“There’s a slew of reasons to check out this years Pink Party from NYC resident Deejaychoice to local Unite resident and current LEVEL night-club resident DJ Chubb alongside MC Double S currently at Hamilton Princess’s happy hour, the dance floor should be in good hands.
There’s going to be a bunch of live entertainment including sneak peek showcase performances of Capoeira, Sabor school of Salsa, a rock and classical mash up by Joy Barnum, an unveiling of the Rapture Lingerie line, poi fire spinning and, well, I can’t give away everything!”
When asked what people can look forward to, he said tons of giveaways.
“CellularONE’s seventh year anniversary is on 07.07.07 as well and we’ll be giving away thousands of dollars of their trendiest phones. The iStore will be giving away a couple of Nano iPods.”
The “granddaddy give-away” of the night is the uber trendy and hipster bike, the MIO, currently on display in the Sasch window on Reid Street, valued at about $4,000, courtesy of Cycle Care.
There will also be Goslings’ drink specials, more surprise entertainment, guest appearances, some pretty sexy decor, a light show and projections.
To please the large range of partygoers, Mr. Thomas said there will be a variety of tunes played at the party.
“I’m super excited about the tunes this year! DJ Chubb is known to get a dance floor jumping with plenty hits. Throwing down the latest in Reggae, lots off of Collie Buddz newly released record, some tight Hip Hop, R&B, Top 40hits, and house. Deejaychoice is a mash-up master and doesn’t like to be called a DJ, but an entertainer, who will be throwing in some funky mixes of rock over rap, house over R&B, dancehall over dance.
“To get a sneak peek of some of the mash up tunes visit www.facebook.com, join the Unite Promotions group and check out some downloadable tunes from our wall. Worth the three minutes of your life.”
Now some people may be wondering if the Pink Party will be a bash they will enjoy. Mr. Thomas said the party is for anyone over 21. Mr. Thomas thanks event co-ordinator Danilee Trott, and friends, Raymond Walker, Stuart Hreourk, Farzanah Mohammad, Sosina Getachew, Veronica Daley, Jon Legere, Alastair Jack, and Brenton Richardson for helping with the success of Unite and the party.
