The night before Cup Match is known all over the Island as the night to party. Fun Tyme Entertainment is planning a beach party they say you will never forget.

Complete with a DJ straight out of New York, local performers, giveaways and free drinks in the VIP section, the Bermuda-New York Jumpoff is the party to be at.

The party will be held at Gombey's tonight and organiser Ayana Swann says if partygoers are ready to start Cup Match with a bang, then his party his where you need to be. He said they will be bringing the night club vibe to the beach with all the works.

"To make it even more heart pumping, we are bringing the best DJ in the tri-State area of the United States (New York, New Jersey, Philly) DJ Envy.

We have convinced Envy to cancel his booking so he could be here to see how Bermudians really party and he is looking forward to coming to Bermuda for the first time. Envy, is currently one of the hottest DJs on New York's Hott 97 FM radio."

Ms Swann said the DJ appears on BET's 106 and Park Freestyle Fridays. He is the host on 'Music Choices', a monthly TV show on Cable.

He is featured on the Sirius Satellite Radio Network and also produced tracks for top artists such as Yung Joc, Petey Pablo, Ja Rule, Foxy Brown, DMX and others.

DJ Envy is also the CEO of Blok Entertainment and senior consultant for So So Def records.

In addition to Envy, Ms Swann said Bermuda will be represented musically by Twin Starr, Vybez Alliance, China & Bussie and Juggling J who is the host for the night.

Music will include hip-hop, R&B, soca, trance, reggaeton, salsa, soca and reggae. A 30-minute time slot is scheduled for local performers Torrie, Tru Shott and C'Daynger.

There will be a segment called "Make It Rain". People will have to attend the event in order to witness it, said Ms Swann.

Because it is the night before Cup Match, revellers are encouraged to come out wearing their red and blue for Somerset or blue and blue for St. George's.

Ms Swann said: "We also have a word of warning, wear some comfortable shoes because you will be dancing all night. Come see how we transform the beach into a heart stopping, foot-stomping, blood-acing night club."

This is an 18 and over event and IDs will be checked. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door.

Advanced tickets can be bought at Secrets in Washington Mall. There are also special group rates. College students with ID will pay $25 at the gate.
