A perfect idea for busy parents
If you are worried about what to do with the children while you get your Christmas shopping done, the Old Town has the answer for you.
On December 9, 16 and 23 between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the town will host a fun day for kids on the patio of Caffe Latte, below the bus stop.
Former Mayor E. Michael Jones said: ?Bring the children and drop them off, any age will do, although we do not change diapers.
?There will be free Internet, Christmas DVDs, story telling, toasted marshmallows on a cedar fire, games, free sandwiches and drinks for lunch for the children. We will also have a talent show, prizes for all, liturgical dancers, Christmas carolling and various other entertainment.?
Mr. Jones thought that as an active member of the community, the activities might make shopping easier for all. The parking is free, there are no long lines at the cash register and St. George?s is such a wonderful place at Christmas.?
There is an added bonus of ten percent off cash purchases over $25 available at East End Florist, Caffe Latte, Island Gift Market, Bus Stop Xpress Liquor Shop and Blot Graphix.
