A third of BHS girls get As in GCSEs

Students at Bermuda High School for Girls (BHS) fared significantly better than their counterparts in England and Wales in the latest external exams.

BHS recently released the latest General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exam results and noted that their students also sit the similar International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in certain subjects.

School principal Rob Napier revealed that of the 290 papers sat by his 36 students, 34.7 percent received top grades of A* and A. This figure is almost double the 18.7 statistic for England and Wales.

A staggering 84.5 percent received grades of C or higher compared with only 61.5 percent in England and Wales.
