?Around the World? show opens tonight with range of talent
Tickets are on sale for the In Motion School of Dance themed showcase, ?Around the World? ? an event which features dancers from pre-ballet to professional levels in areas of jazz, tap, ballet, modern and creative movement.
?The dance showcase is a critical part of the students? dance education, and as part of their participation dancers learn cooperation, stage presence and projection of their individual personalities,? In Motion?s director Lizz Pimental says.
Certainly excitement has been building among the dancers as preparations intensified ahead of tonight?s opening performance.
?The dancers have demonstrated a passion for dance that keeps them striving and dedicating themselves to the art form,? Miss Pimental says.
?They have spent hours in the studio preparing for their pieces, making the show fun and energetic.
?With a variety of dance styles and music, with lots of high-energy choreography and dancing, ?Around the World? is guaranteed to entertain.?
The programme will also include a ?parents and tots? segment.
New this year will be displays of Latin, Portuguese and Highland dancing by various invited groups.
