The Bermuda Showcase is having an Art for Christmas Giving show at the Lighthouse Tearoom.

The show opens tomorrow and will run until December 15, said director Deirdre Furtado.

?Chris Grimes has deviated somewhat from his customary style and the result is work, which has a cheerful, airy quality,? said Mrs. Furtado.

?Watercolours by Marlene Jantzen hold clouds that live with movement.

?Banana Leaf angels by myself take a flight on the wild side and Milton Hill Sr. is bringing us Bermuda Cedar ornaments, which are ideal for Christmas giving. Also Vernon Clarke will be adding a few of his pieces to the exhibit.

?But our big surprise for our show is the work of Lindsey George, who has meticulously detailed clayboard engravings of her series ?Frogflys?, which captivate the imagination and hold the eye. And oil paintings and watercolours by Chris Marson are up to his usual standard.?

Mrs. Furtado said hanging was in progress, and she suggested that the public could treat themselves or a friend to ?a one-of-a-kind ?gift by a local or Bermudian artist by visiting the show.?This show will change as it goes along so visit us often,? she said.
