llWhen of the Bermuda School of Music appears in recital at Carnegie Hall on Saturday May 25, it will be thanks to the generosity of Bermuda resident and former CEO of Partner Re, Herbert Haag, who is the benefactor.

Since May 31 is observed as Memorial Day in the United States, the recital will commemorate the victims of September 11, and is a further gift from the Island to the New York City. Previously, volunteers from Bermuda helped in the aftermath of the tragedy.

The former businessman's decision to arrange for Dr. Reddington's recital to take place at Carnegie Hall was based on the fact that he had been "very lucky" in his life, and wanted to do something positive to commemorate the victims of September 11.

Dr. Reddington will be joined by Swiss violinist Matheias Boegner, and the duo will play sonatas by Franck and Bartok, a po?me by Chausson, and the F-A-E Sonata by Schumann and Brahms.
