Belco Bird is ready for its big day

The Belco Bird will tour the Island tomorrow, stopping off in popular kite flying spots.Belco's Kiteman, Cornell Dunkley visited all 25 primary schools in Bermuda in the lead up to Good Friday. This year more than 1,600 five and six-year-olds enjoyed the Belco Bird kite safety slide show followed by an electrical safety talk and demonstration of lineman's gear by Mr. Dunkley.

Belco's Kiteman, Cornell Dunkley visited all 25 primary schools in Bermuda in the lead up to Good Friday. This year more than 1,600 five and six-year-olds enjoyed the Belco Bird kite safety slide show followed by an electrical safety talk and demonstration of lineman's gear by Mr. Dunkley.

Lily Barboza, a Primary 1 student at Bermuda High School for Girls, won the annual Belco Bird kite safety poster competition. This year's competition was open to all local Primary one and Primary two students.

The Belco Bird presented her with $500 for her school and a Bermuda-made kite.
