Bermuda meteorologist saves the day in new novel
A massive hurricane is bearing down on Washington, DC and it is up to Bermuda-based meteorologists to save the day.
This is the plot in a debut novel by Paul Mark Tag called ?Category 5?, recently released by print-on-demand publisher iUniverse.
Mr. Tag is a meteorologist who worked for the Naval Research Laboratory as a research scientist for over 30 years before leaving his job to write fiction full-time. His debut novel takes advantage of his knowledge of meteorology and weather modification.
?Category 5? was given the Editor?s Choice Award by iUniverse and was recently reviewed by Bob Walch in the author?s home town newspaper in Monterey, California.
Mr. Walch wrote, ??Category 5 is a thriller that relies heavily on the author?s firsthand knowledge of meteorology and weather modification. The fast-paced thriller covers a lot of ground, from the Monterey Peninsula and the nation?s capital to Bermuda, the Suez Canal and Christmas Island.
?As a killer hurricane bears down on Washington, DC, the Naval Research Laboratory?s top meteorologist realises this is just not a fluke of nature. The man-made storm has been masterminded by someone Dr. Victor Mark Silverstein knows all too well, his former college roommate.
As the meteorologist and a team of CIA operatives try to avert the impending disaster, Silverstein must confront the personal demons he?s struggled with since he left school 25 years ago.?
Mr. Walch called it an ?action-packed adventure?.
Mr. Tag is currently developing a sequel, tentatively titled ?Prophecy?. The author lives with his wife, Becky, in Monterey, California. For more information check out www.paulmarktag.com.
