The ninth Bermuda International Film Festival will kick off with a bang on Friday with an opening night bash organised in partnership with Unite Productions, holders of the Red, White and Pink parties.

The opening night party will start at 9 p.m. and for two hours partygoers will unwind to the chilled out tunes of DJ Freedom Fighters and the ?Lights, Camera, Action? pics of Meredith Andrews. The action will kick up a notch at 11 p.m. with DJ Chubb setting a party vibe with old school classics.

Admission to the party includes complimentary samples from Bacardi, nibbles, cocktail specials from festival sponsors BGA, and draws for festival tickets and other prizes.

The party will be held at the BIFF Front Room festival headquarters and box office at Number 6 Passenger Terminal Front Street, Hamilton. Tickets are $25 in advance, and available online at www.biff.bm or daily from 10 a.m. at the festival box office. Tickets at the door will be $30.

Throughout the festival, BIFF will be holding ?Late Nites? as the place to meet visiting filmmakers, jury, international press and industry professionals from 9 p.m. onwards.

Late Nites kick off in the Veranda Bar at Elbow Beach Hotel on Saturday March 25. The schedule for the rest of the week is: Sunday - Heritage Court, Fairmont Hamilton Princess; Monday - Fresco?s Wine Bar; Wednesday - Cafe Cairo, Thursday - Splash and Friday - Square One.

There will be a BIFF BBQ at Aqua Restaurant at Ariel Sands from 12.30 to 3.30 p.m. on March 19. Join BIFF?s visiting filmmakers for a drink and a BBQ lunch. Admission is free, food and drink is available for purchase.

?Chats With...? sessions and panel discussions at the BIFF Front Room at #6 Passenger Terminal will run from March 20 to 24 from 12.15 to 1.15 p.m. Admission is free, and food and drink will be available.

BIFF finishes up with a Wrap Party and Awards Ceremony at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel on March 25 from 9 p.m. onwards. Join the filmmakers, jury and industry guests for a long night of delicious food and brilliant music. Tickets are $75 in advance, and available from the BIFF Front Room box office at #6 Passenger Terminal, Front Street daily from 10 a.m.
