Caisey clan to perform at City Hall

They?re back in force! Talented members of Caisey Family Productions ? and there are many ? are once again rehearsing for a pre-Valentine show at City Hall on February 12 which will take listeners on a delightfully nostalgic journey through the music of the ?60s, ?70s and ?80s.

Singers Clinton, Taur, June, Phiemma, and Zion Caisey, Bethann Raynor, Sia Spence and ?Wires? (Mitchell Trott) will be backed by the Caisey Family Band: Tony Dill on keyboards, Lionel Edwards (horn), John Lee (bass), Darius Richardson (drums), Derek Simmons (guitar) and Mike Payne (horns/brass).

Returning home especially for the event will be singer Albert Caisey, Sr., who now lives and works professionally in New York.

As always, Caisey Family Productions (CFP) targets individuals in need or charitable organisations as beneficiaries of the proceeds from its concerts, and this time its choice is Steven (Bobby) Wilson, who has been battling muscular dystrophy for some years.

This incurable disease involves muscular degeneration which eventually confines its victims to a wheelchair. In Mr. Wilson?s case, the goal is to provide him with a $6,500 motorised wheelchair to give him more mobility and independence.

Beneficiaries of seven previous CFP concerts have included cancer patients, the Bermuda Autism Society, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Bermuda, children with AIDS attending summer camp, the National Office for Seniors and the Physically Challenged, CARF, and furtherance of a young musician?s career.

This year CFP won a Drum Major award in recognition of its contributions to the community.
