The Bermuda TB, Cancer & Health Association Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Denim Day. Celebrate this day by wearing Denim and your Denim Day sticker and donate $5 (adult) and $2 (per child). Get involved, be creative and have fun while supporting raising awareness of breast cancer.

Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Lecture Series continues with BUEI International Advisor and renown scientist, Mr. Steve Blasco. His lecture is entitled `Bermuda's Sunken Cedar Forest'. This lecture will touch on global warming and the effects of it on Bermuda. In addition, he will discuss, and show rarely seen footage of the remnants of a cedar forest found in 30 feet of water off Bermuda, which shows that the sea level was significantly lower than we know it to be today. This footage is a part of a current study that Mr. Blasco is involved in which is determining the effects of global warming on Bermuda, and the east coast of Canada. Doors open at 6.30 for a 7 p.m. start. Tickets are $10 for BUEI members and $15 for non-members.

La Leche League of Bermuda will be holding a support group meeting open to pregnant and breastfeeding women at 10.30 a.m. at the First Floor Conference Room at King Edward Memorial Hospital. LLL of Bermuda is a registered charity, offering mother to mother help and encouragement to women wanting to breastfeed their babies. An accredited La Leche League Leader and Certified Lactation Consultant will be present to answer questions and address concerns. The meeting discussions include the latest medical research as well as personal experience. Free literature and a lending library will be available. Light refreshments will be served.
