Chesney Pearman graduates from American University
Congratulations to Chesney Pearman who graduated on May 8 from American University (Kogood School of Business) in Washington, DC.
Ms Pearman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a double specialisation in international business and accounting. Ms Pearman previously attended Bermuda High School, Saltus Grammer School and Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, New Hampshire).
Throughout university, Ms Pearman was an active member of her community taking on many responsibilities and new experiences.
As a certified Community Tax Aid, she assisted low-income families in Washington DC to file their tax returns. She was recognised by the Internal Revenue Service for her accomplishments and efforts.
Ms Pearman studied business at the CERAM European School of Management in the south of France for a semester, bolstered by her French language skills and became immersed in the Mediterranean culture.
During her year in university, Ms Pearman was chosen as a recipient of the National Dean's List Award and will be published in the 2005 edition.
Among her other achievements, Ms Pearman is a member and former communications chair of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, a member of the Black Student Alliance and an undergraduate mentor.
Ms Pearman has been employed by Deloitte and will study to be a Certified Public Accountant.

Ms Pearman's graduation was attended by her mother, V. Christine Pearman; grandmother Alice Pearman; aunt Linda Manders, cousins Nikia Manders, Suzanne and Will Rackley; godfather Randolf Hayward; godmother Karen Reaves and friend Kede Raymond.
