A few Alzheimer's warning signs:

1. The person has difficulty doing tasks that used to be second nature. For example, an accountant who suddenly has trouble balancing his cheque book.

2. Wandering and disorientation. They may forget the way home.

3. Depression.

4. Loss of interest in personal appearance and hygiene.

5. Sudden withdrawal from community activities.
