How tenderly she cared for eight children
artha Dismont on her mother Florence Louise Hall who has now passed. What is your fondest memory of her?
How tenderly she cared for her eight children is my fondest memory, and watching her sadness when I left New York for Bermuda is that which touches me the most deeply. I used to take care of her before I left NY.
There were eight of us
Curry chicken and rice, yeast rolls
I don?t know if she had a favourite saying, but she would occasionally remind us to ?trust in the Lord, with all your heart?
She took her responsibilities very seriously, and she worked hard to help to care for all of her children. I believe that this conscientiousness about everything that she did has made me more conscientious.
I was a very good student in school, and I took my responsibilities very seriously. My family and I often celebrated with her on Easter, Mother?s Day and her birthday.
I think the most important thing I learned from my mother was humility and patience. She always quietly cared for us without much complaint. Honouring Mothers today means to me that we honour mothering qualities, which can be exemplified by everyone male, or female; we simply have to choose to exemplify these qualities in all that we do.
