Inspirational show ?a way of giving thanks as artists?
A show encompassing everything from poetry to dance opens tonight at City Hall Theatre.
Mitchelle (Live Wires) Trott is putting on ?Give Thanks and Praises ? Make A Joyful Noise?.
Mr. Trott said the show was spiritual and it is an expression of giving thanks as artists here on the Island.
?Say you are a writer and you do that, it is not just for the money, it is because you have the ability to write and you write well,? he said.
?So that is paying homage to the creator because he blessed you with the talent. This is what we are trying to project into people?s minds.
?There are no specific titles being used to describe who the creator is, we have Muslims, Rastafarians, everyone has come together because we are spiritual kinsman.?
Mr. Trott added that the inspiration for this show came from simply being able to rise in the morning. ?To be able to wake up and exhale and inhale,? said Mr. Trott. ?Say thank you I love you mama, I love you father.
?Just being able to make it through the days, and also that this is my fifth venture.
?There is no better time than now to give thanks and that?s what Ah! Who? Productions is all about.?
He said this year?s production is going to be at the levels with the entertainment you want people to see what?s in your mind and the sound is by Spanish Town and the lights are by John Waddel.
?It is about creating a lasting impression,? he said, ?I want people to think ? ?I am coming back next year?.?
