LCCA to get new look, home
One of Bermuda's oldest charities has a new look logo and location.
The Lady Cubitt Compassionate Association, better known as the LCCA, recently moved into bigger premises in the International Centre on Bermudiana Road, next door to their previous location. The bigger office will enable the charity to adequately deal with its clients needs.
At the same time, a new look for the LCCA was unveiled by Lady Vereker, after local communications company, AAC Saatchi and Saatchi, designed their new logo and new stationery which was printed by Triangle Press. Both companies have donated their services to the charity.
The opening was performed by Lady Vereker, wife of His Excellency the Governor, Sir John Vereker, who is a patron of the Association.
The LCCA was established in 1932 by Lady Cubitt, wife of the Governor at that time. Its objective is to relieve poverty, distress and to promote happiness and well-being amongst those in the community who are less fortunate.
It provides two main services: the general assistance programme helps locals with financial and emotional needs and the Patient Overseas Financial Aid Programme whereby patients in financial need are sent overseas for medical and surgical treatments not available in Bermuda.
This programme is administered by the LCCA on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
